Sony promises ICS update for its tablets

Sony has made an announcement on its UK discussion boards that it is working on an ICS (Android 4.0) update for its Tablet S and Tablet P devices, without committing to a specific timeline at this moment. This announcement comes close on the heels of SDK release for Tablet P, indicating that Sony is making a fair bit of commitment to its tablet business.

The Wi-Fi only version of Sony Tablet S is currently retailing in India for Rs. 29,990, while the 3G and Wi-Fi version of this tablet is expected to release in the middle of January with a price-tag of Rs. 33,990. The Sony Tablet P is also expected to be available around the same time for Rs. 36,990.
